Dr. Rosen is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in interpersonal neurobiology and mindfulness-based therapies. Her therapeutic style is warm, supportive and attentive to her clients’ goals for therapy. She strives to understand the unique experiences of her clients in order to create a treatment plan with them that is practical and effective. Outside of the therapy office, she is a lifelong animal lover who enjoys hiking, photography and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Rosen’s clinical lens is first and foremost wholistic, and she draws upon her specialty training in psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) depending on the clinical needs of her clients. In addition to conducting neuropsychological assessments, Dr. Rosen provides individual, couples, group and family-based psychotherapy. She has experience in the treatment of the following disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults: anxiety and mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD,  psychotic disorders,  OCD, trauma-related disorders, eating disorders and sleep disorders. She also works with adults struggling with perinatal mental health conditions. Dr. Rosen specializes in supporting parents who are concerned about their young children’s social, emotional and/or cognitive development.


Dr. Rosen earned a B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior from Columbia University, followed by a Master’s of Education in Mind, Brain and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.  After working in early childcare and education for several years, she obtained a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from William James College in Newton, MA, and subsequently participated in the UMass Boston Infant-Parent Mental Health Post-Graduate Certificate Program. She completed post-doctoral training at the Brenner Center for Psychological Assessment, The Rice Center for Early Childhood Mental Health, and at the Seven Hills Behavioral Health Worcester outpatient clinic. As a pre-doctoral clinician, Dr. Rosen provided Maudsley Family-Based Therapy for eating disorders in the adolescent intensive outpatient program at Walden Behavioral Care.


Dr. Rosen is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Massachusetts Psychological Association, and the Massachusetts Association for Infant Mental Health.

 

Her clinical interests include the interaction between sleep disorders and psychiatric disorders and the bidirectional influences of chronic medical conditions and mental health.
