Meghan Quinn, MA is a 3rd year doctoral student in clinical psychology at William James College. Meghan’s past clinical experiences include working with children with anxiety disorders and ADHD. She has also worked with adults with depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, as well as affective disorders.
Meghan has trained in a variety of settings including hospital, outpatient, residential, and school settings. Her past experiences have provided her with the clinical skills necessary to assist individuals in need of both long-term and short-term support as well as with crisis intervention.
Meghan tends to utilize a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) treatment approach that includes other evidence-based practices when appropriate.
Meghan’s special interests include postpartum mental health and parental mental health as well as working with college aged populations. She is particularly interested in helping individuals through periods of transition and identity development.
Meghan’s dissertation focuses on the physical and emotional change of becoming a parent and how to best support women during the postpartum period.
Some of Meghan’s hobbies include coaching and playing ice hockey, swimming and running. She also enjoys reading and spending time with her dog.
