Lishleynny De Jesus, MA is a fourth year doctoral student in clinical psychology at William James College. Her clinical interests are trauma, crisis intervention, and major mental illnesses. Throughout her training, she has worked across the lifespan and with many clinical presentations.

 

Lishleynny has experience within school, residential, and outpatient settings providing individual and group therapy to patients with various mental health presentations, substance abuse, and trauma histories. Lishleynny is a bilingual Spanish speaker who also has experience providing therapy exclusively in Spanish.

Lishleynney has a special interest in the role of female perpetrators within the world of human trafficking. Her dissertation focuses on assessing the transitional roles within human trafficking victims. Lishleynny is passionate in her engagement of anti-human trafficking efforts and is hopeful her research will make a meaningful contribution to these governmental efforts.

​

Lishleynny’s favorite hobby is reading true crime and horror fiction. She writes, “I like to think of reading as an extremely detailed movie in your head that regular movies can never capture!”
