Carolina Bellon-Garcia M.A. is a third year doctoral student in clinical psychology at William James College. Throughout her time at William James, Carolina obtained a masters in professional psychology.
Carolina has experience working with children, adults, and adolescents, in a multitude of settings such as outpatient centers and schools. Carolina identifies as Latina and has a passion for mental health advocacy among the Latinx community.
Her past clinical experience lies in working with those experiencing eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), mood disorders, and anxiety disorders, trauma, and relational problems.
Most recently Carolina worked at MEDA, the Multi-Service Eating Disorders Association, where she provided eating disorder specific care to those struggling with an array of different eating disorders and other comorbid disorders such as anxiety, depression, and OCD.
Carolina uses an integrative approach when practicing therapy, often utilizing and drawing from Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. Every approach is different based on the unique needs of each client.
Outside of her clinical work, Carolina enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching a good show, and taking care of her plants.
